This year BIO Asia–Taiwan 2021 (Online), to be held July 21-25, with early access from July 19, aims to build on the success of last year to again bring together biotechnology and pharmaceutical executives and investors from North America, Europe and Asia to explore business opportunities with Taiwan’s emerging biotech sector with a unique format of online and live settings.

The five-day event will feature rich programming, online company presentations from Asia and around the world, BIO One-on-One Partnering™ meetings, online seminars and workshops, and an online exhibition. Online meeting lounges and other social media-type activities will facilitate and replicate the social and networking elements so important to the typical conference experience.

This year’s theme reflects the cooperation within the entire healthcare industry spectrum in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic to not only bring life back to normal but to a better place then before. Featuring the latest advances from the therapeutic, diagnostic, medical equipment, and vaccine development sectors, BIO Asia–Taiwan 2021 Online + Onsite is notably hosted in Taiwan, recognized worldwide for its efforts to date in successfully fighting the spread of the pandemic. A significant number of seminars and panel discussions will be focused on this topic of vital importance, as will many of the featured companies and medical solution providers.

The conference will focus on five topics: Combating the Pandemic, Advanced Therapies, Precision Medicine, Smart Health, and Investment & Collaboration.

BIO Asia–Taiwan 2021 will again feature the renowned BIO One-on-One Partnering™ platform, an easy-to-use online meeting scheduling system to search for and identify potential partners, collaborators, investors and in- and out-licensing opportunities. Face-to-face meetings will be held over private and secure video links 24 hours a day during the event period. With over 6,000 meetings made via the system during BIO Asia–Taiwan 2020, we expect to exceed that number during the 2021 event. Registration will open in May and the BIO One-on-One Partnering system will open in June.
