Led by CEO Chen\, his team placed Top2 (99th percentile) in the 2018 Cell Identification Competition\, a Global Artificial Intelligence Competition sponsored by Kaggle.\n\nOn Tuesday\, Oct. 30\, 2018\, CEO Samuel Chen will bring his experience and knowledge in Artificial Intelligence in direct collision with medical technology. Come witness the future in medicine and artificial intelligence!\n\nWe welcome all participants to join in our discussion\n(This free event will be conducted in English)\n\n【Time】\n10/30 Tue. 19:00 Reception\n\n【Venue】\nTaipei Tech Arena\n4F\, 2\, Sec. 4\, Nanjing E. Rd.\, Songshan District\, Taipei City\n台北市松山區南京東路四段2號4樓(臺北小巨蛋四樓)\n\n【Speaker】\n陳聖雄 執行長\n\n陳聖雄執行長在2018年6月,創立了總部設在矽谷的AIxMed,為一家結合人工智慧和醫療科技的新創公司,目前合作的對象包含了醫療院所,學術及研究機構,和醫療設備廠商。 \n\nSamuel Chen\, CEO\n\nIn June 2018\, CEO Samuel Chen founded AIxMed\, a Silicon Valley-based startup that combines artificial intelligence and medical technology\, in cooperation with medical institutions\, academic and research institutions\, and medical equipment manufacturers.\nPrior to leading AIxMed\, Chief Executive Chen worked for over 25 years in software development. Initially\, Samuel Chen worked in Silicon Valley for Sun Microsystems\, developing Java Workshops; a Java programming language development tool. In 1997\, he was invited to join Trend Micro. During his tenure as vice president of research and development\, he built the first software development lifecycle team for Trend Micro's first software project. Under Chen’s leadership\, the software R&D team would eventually grow from a small handful of people to more than 500 people worldwide. The Trend Micro’s turnover would also increase rapidly from $70 million to $800 million. Trend Micro became one of the top three security companies in the world and the largest software company in Taiwan.\nIn 2008\, Chen was invited to join Asustek Computer as the head of the software department and began to increasingly develop the software capabilities of Taiwan's electronics industry and building the foundations for software and hardware integration. In 2011\, as Vice Chairman\, Chen joined and established the Software Development and Research Department of Compal Computer. Chen led 500 software development engineers to develop Android and IoT products in cooperation with Silicon Valley technology companies. Three years ago\, Chen turned to artificial intelligence and machine learning development and was responsible for leading the artificial intelligence laboratory of Compal Computer.\nAs a student\, Chen represented the Department of Computer Engineering of Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School and Jiao Tong University in the software programming competition of the Ministry of Education. In 1983 and 1986\, he won the first place in the national high school group and university information department. Samuel Chen graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Jiao Tong University and a later master's degree in computer science from the University of Southern California.\nBecause of our geographical proximity\, Chen has worked in the technology industries of both Taiwan and Silicon Valley. He has also served as a director of Silicon Valley Taiwanese American Industrial Technology Association (TAITA) and a technical consultant for the Asia Silicon Valley Development Agency (ASVDA).\n\n【Agenda】\n19:00~19:20 Reception\n19:30~19:40 Opening\n19:40~20:30 Sharing: Samuel Chen\, CEO\n20:30~21:00 Mixer & Networking\n\n【Organizer】\nBE Accelerator\n\n【Co-organizers】\nTaiwan Tech Arena\, BioHub\, MEDx\, Venturecraft\, TRPMA\, BioIPSeeds\, DCB\, Taiwan Startup Insitiute\, Healthcare Drinks\n\n【Registration】\nhttps://goo.gl/forms/E2eqG3WT7pVjVZrJ3 URL:https://conference.geneonline.news/event/ai-in-medicine-rise-of-the-trend/ CATEGORIES:BIO ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://conference.geneonline.news/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/44360661_323688125096924_8007103067461779456_o.jpg END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
